Lugols Solution

As written about in Barbara O'Neill's Sustain Me, iodine deficiency is the most common cause of thyroid disease. A simple test to assess iodine levels is to use Lugols Solution which contains iodine and iodide. 

One drop is applied to the inside of the arms and forms a brown mark. There should be some semblance of colour after five hours, which indicates adequate iodine levels. If the colour fades within the hour, iodine levels are very low. To bring the levels up, a drop of iodine can be applied to the upper inside arm daily until the colour remains for five hours.

Contains: 10% Potassium Iodide USP Grade, 5% Iodine ACS Grade, 6.5Mg Iodide, Iodine per vertical drop.
